Fuliza MPESA is a product of Safaricom that enables its customers to complete MPESA transactions when they have insufficient balances. Whether you want to pay bills or send someone cash, Fuliza will come through for you when you do not have enough funds in your MPESA. This all depends on your Fuliza limit which is set by Safaricom depending on your usage of Safaricom and MPESA services.
To opt into Fuliza services, you will need to register as an MPESA customer. You will dial *234# to opt-in. Usually, when you opt-in and you are a new subscriber, your limit will probably be between zero and 300 shillings. Of course, we all want to be allocated a good Fuliza limit as it can go to a higher-up of Sh.70,000.
In order to increase your Fuliza limit as a new subscriber, you will need to frequently use Safaricom and M-PESA services. Increase your usage of Safaricom products like calls, data and SMS. Send and receive money, pay for goods and services and bills to increase MPESA usage. Ensure you also pay Fuliza M-PESA on time by topping up your M-PESA account before lapse of the repayment period.
Safaricom always reviews Fuliza allocation limit every three months. People also say that you can increase your limit by opting out then opting in again. There is a 50-50 possibility as some people’s limit went down to zero while for others it increased. I’d advise you to be patient and wait for Safaricom’s allocation review.
